The PaintAmerica Top100 is an open national artists’ competition to help fund the PaintAmerica Student Scholarship fund and our mission of actively supporting and promoting the visual arts through education, networking and advocacy. The PaintAmerica Top100 is an annual juried competition and exhibition designed to illustrate American life. Paintings may also represent lifestyle scenes from America.  Jurors Cally Krallman, Mike Albrechtsen and Henry Dixon deliberated over the hundreds of entries that had survived the preliminary jury process.

Artists from anywhere in the world can enter, but their paintings must depict any of the 50 states. All entries must depict a state, but do NOT need to represent the artists' home state. The top scoring paintings attain the honor of being recognized as part of the Top 100 in the nation. With this honor comes national exposure, through an online and touring exhibition, as well as the opportunity to become the overall national winner.

"Sue,

Congratulations on making the Second 100, that is quite an accomplishment! Between the Minis and the full-size entries, there were just under a thousand total entries. Thanks for submitting, and best wishes to you."
